A Sea Of Ships and Souls Blurb

As the son of two washers, Jace Kit has only dreamed of adventure-until a fabled Sea Sprite washes ashore and turns his world upside down.
The Sea Sprite needs a hero to save the Ocean Queen from a ruthless pirate terrorizing the Remos Ocean.
With a legendary trinket and handmade boat to his name, Jace is her only hope-even though he knows the trinket is fake. With Jace’s skilled sailing and the Sea Sprite’s magic, the pair enters a competition to win a ship capable of catching the pirate.
The only thing darker than the depths are the Sea Sprite’s secrets, and Jace realizes too late his adventure might cost a price too high to pay.

What Readers can expect from A Sea Of Ships and Souls

A Sea Of Ships and Souls is a young adult fantasy set in a magical Caribbean full of folklore and high jinks. Ultimately, it is a story about chasing your dreams no matter how far away they seem and to believe in the power of yourself. While writing this novel I was querying my first novel, Wildfire, The Rise of a Hero, and telling the story of Jace Kit, a wanna be sailor who takes on a dread pirate to save the ocean, inspired me to stay hopeful in my own publishing battles. I hope readers can remember how strong they are and that no dream is too big or far away to capture.

An excerpt fromA Sea Of Ships and Souls

“He needed to see the rest of the archipelago for himself and feel the ocean under him as he sailed across the surface. To read the maps and chart his own course by the stars, to traverse the waters, navigate dark storm clouds, and marvel at breaching whales. To bark orders to a crew that felt the same longing to be free of earthly ties and responsibilities.

Jace Kit needed to sail like a dreamer needed sleep.
Except a dreamer didn’t need anything more than a soft pillow and a dark room. A sailor needed a ship. And what Jace had wasn’t technically a ship.”
