Aylen Isle by Audra Supplee
Aud Supplee has a Bachelor’s degree in English/Literature from West Chester University, Pennsylvania, and has taught creative writing at a local night school. She resides in Southeastern Pennsylvania with her husband, where they are currently raising one houseplant. They started with three, but sadly, one moved on to a farm upstate, and the other is currently under the care of a friend with a green thumb. She blogs on the categories “Live”, “Read”, “Write”, which sum up her creative process. You can visit her online at www.AudSupplee.com.

A little bit about Author Audra Supplee…
I began life as a reluctant reader. As a child, I wrote stories long before I discovered the joy of reading. My 8-year-old brain didn’t believe anyone wrote books I wanted to read. It wasn’t until a college juvenile literature class that I discovered the error of my ways. I’ve been devouring fiction for both kids and adults ever since. Before I joined The Wild Rose Press “garden,” I had two juvenile novels published, followed by a novella and short story for adults published in two anthologies.
This is Author Audra Supplee’s writing and publication journey in her own words…
Inspiration to start writing…
I was inspired to start writing for two reasons. First, I believed if I couldn’t find the right book to read, I’d write my own. Second, I grew up in a family with turmoil, so I wrote fantasy stories to create order out of that chaos.
My preferred genre is fantasy because I enjoy inventing alternative worlds. Especially worlds without cell phones. 🤣
Audra’s works…
My YA fantasy series from The Wild Rose Press is called Winnie and the “Wizard” and features a dash of romance, a splash of humor, all bound up in an otherworldly adventure. So far, I have three novels in this series and am currently working on a fourth. The titles available from Amazon are Frama-12; Hutra; and Aylen Isle. All three have received good reviews from Kirkus Reviews, but Aylen Isle also has the distinction of being a Readers’ Choice Book Award Finalist in the fall of 2024.
All my novels in this series are stand-alone and each novel contains a separate adventure in a different alternate world.
Aylen Isle Blurb
A time guardian sends Winnie, Mikey, and Kip on a mission to an alternate world’s tropical island. There, they must restore an enchanted princess to her original form, return an alien bird to his home world, and find a way to secretly prevent their nemesis from further time-tear travel. While they’re at it, they might as well prevent an invasion.
If Winnie thinks her days as an army general have ended, she’s in for a big surprise. A prophecy calls for a female warrior in pink to save the island residents from an enemy attack. Guess who picked the wrong day to wear a pink hoodie?
One of Audra’s favourite scenes from Aylen Isle (From Chapter 13, page 102)…
I must confess that finding a favourite scene from my book wasn’t easy. I have so many favourites!
They stood in a line, Eggar, then Kip, Mikey, and Winnie, facing an odd grayish film that blocked the entrance. The film distended in the image of a tall, lanky man as if encased in opaque plastic wrap. The elastic obstruction finally released a seven-foot-tall man with pale-gray skin, pointed ears, and piercing black eyes. The flexible wall closed behind him.
“Goblin?” Kip murmured from the corner of his mouth.
Eggar gave a barely perceptible nod.

Very nice spotlight! Congratulations on your fantasy series.
