A little bit about Author Lynda Rees…
I come from a 36-year corporate background in global transportation and marketing at P&G. My focus was on family, paying the bills, and seeing my children had memorable childhoods and got good educations. I’ve been writing my whole life and always wanted to be a fiction author. My works have been published for a decade.
This is Author Lynda Rees’s writing and publication journey in her own words…
Inspiration to start writing…
I write mysteries in contemporary, historical, and juvenile genres. I also write picture books. Life is a mystery we write as we grow. I love research, puzzles, problem solving, and crafting unique surprises for my readers of all ages. Reading the Bible as a child with my grandfather inspired me to create stories that inspire. I write mostly about normal women in dire circumstances who discover how strong they really are. My stories, except for the historical novels, are set in rural Kentucky, horse country.
Lynda’s works…

The Bloodline Series consists of Leah’s Story; Parsley, Sage, Rose, Mary & Wine; Blood & Studs; Hot Blooded; Blood of Champions; Horseshoes & Roses; Bloodlines & Lies, The Bloodline Trail; Real Money; and The Bourbon Trail.
I’ve published several standalone novels—God Father’s Day; Madam Mom; Operation Second Chance; 2nd. Chance Ranch; and Fresh Start, Dirty Money. The Flip or Flop Mysteries are Flip or Flop, Murder House; Rock Starr Baby Dadd; and The Attic, with another coming soon called Cold Case. My historical mystery is a conspiracy theory story called Gold Lust Conspiracy. Coming in 2026 is a three-book historical mystery series beginning with Write To Murder. I’ve published middle-grade/early reader books, Freckle Face & Blondie; The Thinking Tree, Freckle Face & Blondie #2,and coming later this year is Grandma Is An Alien. My children’s books are NO FEAR, No Fear Learning & Activity Book, and coming later this year The Lost Dragon. I have also published several non-fiction books.
All of my works are in eBook, print and audiobook. They can be found on Amazon, KOBO, B&N, my personal store, or anywhere you buy books online. They’re in many libraries and brick and mortar stores. The Attic Blurb
Neighbors say it’s haunted. What secrets lie behind the mansion’s walls? Charli Owens and rock-and-roll singer grandmother Irma, delve into a property’s notorious history with prohibition and the Underground Railroad, uncover a major criminal organization, and put their lives in danger.
One of Lynda’s favourite scenes from The Attic…
She showered in the mansion’s crude, plastic, one piece bathroom stall, trying her best to wash guilt and terror from her pale skin. Red goo on her flesh mingled with water flow, her tears, and then drizzled in streaks down her legs into the rusty drain. The warmth eased her sore muscles. She closed her eyes, trying to block out memories straining to take possession of her spirit. Someone stole part of her soul. She desperately wanted it back.
