Inspiration to write Reserves…
Before I knew her name, my protagonist whispered to me. She peeked around corners, slipped into grocery lines, and entered my dreams. Reserves is the story of an ordinary woman thrust into extraordinary circumstances. Like so many women asked to do more with already full plates, Grace rises to the occasion, discovering strength and courage she never knew she had.

Grace was fumbling with her car keys in the hospital’s underground parking structure when a bulwark of a man stepped in front of her, blocking the security camera. “I’m not here to hurt you.” The deep voice stopped her from doing what her body implored her to do–run. “Consider me a private process server, Graceland Walker Holden. Only you will not get a written missive, so listen closely.” His titanic body coiled with a forbidding menace. His hands were enormous anchors soldered to bulging arms. Grace gripped her key like a makeshift weapon and willed herself to remain calm, committing every feature to memory.
