Author Sean Bridges
Sean Bridges was born in Wiesbaden, Germany. He’s an Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences Nicholl award-winning screenwriter and author. He’s a Stephen King Dollar Baby with his festival winning audio production of One for the Road.
His latest suspense/thriller novel, Gunbarrel Highway, published by The Wild Rose Press is out now as a paperback, e-book, and audiobook.
He’s currently filming a teaser for a werewolf/spaghetti western feature film, High Moon, and he lives and works in the Texas Hill Country.
A little bit about Author Sean Bridges…
I started out writing screenplays and won some awards for my scripts. I had two screenplays win awards through the Nicholl Fellowship, which is sponsored by the Academy of Motion Picture Arts & Sciences. It’s a format I enjoy.
I also create audio productions through my company, Audible Parade. We make movies for your mind. I work with actors in a recording studio, and we create the scenes. Then I add in ambient background, sound FX and music to bring the work to life.
GUNBARREL HIGHWAY is my first professionally published novel. I love bringing stories to life, in a variety of ways. I’ve been a writer for about 25 years.

Inspiration to start writing…
I love telling stories. I like the intricate craftwork that goes into storytelling. I really like to keep the reader turning the page.
I love suspense/thrillers. It’s a genre I’ll always return to. I’ve written in a variety of genres over the years and thrillers feel like a comfortable sweater. Creating tension and keeping the story moving and an audience engaged. I don’t think I’ll ever get tired of that.

Gunbarrel Highway is a quick page-turner and a solid character piece. And they’re not black or white but shades of gray. I really enjoyed bringing Detective Roya Navarro to life. She’s a strong and determined woman who is in hot pursuit. I enjoyed her so much, I’m writing a new short story that features her, and I can see her showing up in other work in the future. She’s a brilliant woman who has a lot more life and stories to tell.
