Fun fact about Peril in Pittman…
A funny thing happened with one of the villains in this book. I had made him the assassin, but one night he appeared to me and refused to be the villain because I had made him too nice. It was so real that I returned to the draft the next day, and sure enough, he was right. He was too nice to be an assassin. I had to completely revise that section. That was weird.

An interesting story about your intended assassin pointing out he was too nice to be an assassin, Mary Ann. As a writer too, I find my characters at times take over my story. Then in the morning I can’t wait to get up and start writing to see what’s happening.
Isn’t it amazing how inspiration strikes?
My characters often refuse to behave the way I want them to. I’ve finally learned to give up and let them have their way. Lol! They’re worse than kids.
Love the idea of your character helping you decide his ultimate reason for being in your story. As a writer I’ve often had to either change their names to fit their part in the novel, or, as you, give them something else to fit the storyline. Best of luck.
Thanks for the encouragement. Inspiration is an amazing process.
