Double Jeopardy by Carolyn Rae

This is Author Carolyn Rae Williamson’s writing and publication journey in her own words…
I wrote several novels during many years and got them rejected. However, my non-fiction cookbook did get accepted and published. I tried again submitting novels and finally got an acceptance, only to be told the publisher was no longer printing novels. But I had already purchased 300 pens advertising the book and the publisher. It took a year until I finally got another publisher. They did two of my novels, but refused the second sequel, saying they were no longer publishing novels. Frustrated with so many novels getting rejected, I finally self published a few. Now I have 13 novels in print. Luckily, I eventually met an editor from The Wild Rose Press at a writer’s conference, and she offered to accept Searching for Love, and later also accepted Searching for Justiceand Double Jeopardy.
Inspiration to write Double Jeopardy…
I have twin daughters who are very different, which inspired my story, Double Jeopardy, a novel featuring twins and published by The Wild Rose Press.
Double JeopardyBlurb
What if you heard about a stalker harrassing your twin sister and then wasn’t sure if he were targeting her or you? Double Jeopardy follows newspaper reporter, Jessica Ballard, and TV star, Jennifer Ballard, as they try to discover who wants to kill them and why.
Jessica Ballard is trying to work her way up to more important assignments when she is shot at a football game. At the hospital she is questioned by Investigator Michael Steel, who is much too handsome and charming for a cop. Or is the medication she’s on heightening her senses more than normal?
Michael finds himself strongly drawn to the brave reporter. Remembering the sister he hadn’t been able to save from a stalker, he feels compelled to protect Jessica. He feels a closer to her than he has felt with anyone else, but she challenges him to let down his guard and become truly close.
